While we are in the northern part of Vietnam we be venturing out to Halong Bay. Halong Bay is world famous for its unique nature beauty. The bay consist of thousands of limestone karsts and isles which have been formed over the past 500 million years (a geologist heaven).
We have decided to see this nature beauty from a Vietnamese Junk Boat. The term Junk Boat is rather miss leading, the Halong Poseidon Sail Boat is actually a new luxury boat designed to slightly mimic the traditional junk boats that use to sail the bay.
We will spend two day on the Poseidon Junk Boat exploring the emerald waters with limestone topography. We will view several World Natural Heritages sights, hike Titop (a mountain with an overlook of the bay), explore the islands, kayak and maybe even relax on the sun deck.
